Needles continued that a man named Zak | Zak(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | from nearby Oradam village came to Fort Garnik seeking treatment for acute radiation poisoning affecting both himself and his wife - the poisoning was causing catastrophic organ failures, their bodies were practically tearing themselves apart from within - the couple could easily have contracted radiation poisoning after handling the bomb. Dorant wanted Meteor to interrogate Zak and his wife to find out more and proposed to use the medicine as a motivator. The medics who treated Zak weren't equipped to cure his condition - most of their supplies have been stolen by scavengers. Jorgan said, that the Command knew exactly where the scavengers were, but didn't have resources to deal with them, he gave Meteor the coordinates of the scavengers camp west of Oradam village and a list of ingredients to retrieve - Vimidone, Albozene and a medical injector.Meteor acknowledged the order and went outside.Meteor traveled to the coordinates provided by Jorgan and discovered a camp of scavengers who had stolen the medicine from the fort. The sergeant quickly defeated several thieves, the rest fled the camp. Meteor searched the camp and found a pack of Albozene, a pack of Vimidone, and a injector for administering radiation treatment. Zak injected his wife Jaller | Jaller(Twi'lek)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | and himself with the medicine, and despite her protests, Zak, grateful for saving their lives and dusgusted with the Separatists who sold them out, told Meteor everything he knew about where he supposed the bomb was - they got sick right after they they helped to move a big crate to the stronghold, separatists' main base on the island. When Meteor said that Zak and his wife just got a second chance at life, Zak thanked Meteor and promised the sergeant that they wouldn't waste it.Meteor contacted Lieutenant Jorgan, who confirmed that he had heard all the conversations, and said that it was time to hit the Separatists where they live. He added that a Havoc squad was already assembling for the mission, and ordered the sergeant return to Fort Garnik immediately. On the way out of the building, Meteor was ambushed by a trio of Separatist assassins, but the attackers have been killed in the ensuing firefight. While in the village, Meteor and the Voidhound agreed to help a merchant | Odar(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | whose daughter | Qo'el(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | had been unjustly arrested | Hail the LiberatorsEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | by the Mantellian army, and took on a mission | Buying LoyaltyEventCold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) | from Gizmel Gam | Gizmel Gam(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | , a Central Authority | Ord Mantell Central AuthorityOrganizationPlanetary and Sector | official, to find and retrieve a lost shipment of supplies on Savrip Island. Zabrak introduced himself as Lieutenant Virk | Virk(Zabrak)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | and said that his boys had seen Meteor chatting with little Ensign Farn | Farn(Human)CharacterMinor Characters (TOR) | . He added that he knew that Farn had told the sergeant about his business, and he knew that Meteor had gone and blabbed about it to some very important people. Now Virk had to complete a mountain of documents, go through hearings, people asked questions - and he did not like it. Meteor replied that not everyone on Ord Mantell was interested in making Virk happy. Virk said that the island was his little kingdom and threatened that Meteor would die during the next mission, but the sergeant ignored him and continued on his way to the operations room. Virk made a few more threats and left with his cronies. |
